This is sorta fun...just stringing this all out! So I will post a page a day! Just so sad that I can't attend to show you this little book. I had such a great time creating this. I think I will do a few more in different themes.

Change in plans

I am NOT going to be going to Atlanta to teach my class. I just found out last night that our annual holiday fund raising event is the same weekend. I can't be in two places at once and I refuse to let my kids take a back seat. So I am not going. Not sure if they will still want to use my project or not??

Peek 3

All done with one kit and I still have paper left over. My next one will be a little more decorative but I wanted to use just ONE kit for this one to prove it could be done. The only NonTLC products are the ribbons and of course my bind it all binding! Also the whole point of this is to use the 4x6 photos without trimming them. I hate cutting my photos so I wanted to do something that would require no cuts and since the photo takes a good portion of the page you don't use a lot of embellishments. I just have to journal in this one. I didn't make it to that point of assembly. The cold meds were blocking my thought process so if these seems off...that's why. I guess I shouldn't have done a project while under the influence of OTC meds! But today I am off the meds and I still think it turned out cute so I am happy.

Home Sick

I headed out to work this morning and got over half way there and got sick. So I turned around and came home. Got into the doctors today. So I am home coughing up my lungs and decided I needed to get my Atlanta project done. So between trips to bathroom, the doctor, the pharmacy, I managed to get it done. I can't decide if I want to keep it a secret or show it? I want people to be excited about it but I sorta want to surprise them. I will tell you that it is something done with the Happy Holidays HotFudge Kit. So everyone will need to bring one with them to the event.

Any thoughts? SURPRISE ME OR SHOW ME!?

Before I forget...

I just want to wish my friends Sonja & Krystal H. GOOD LUCK on their weekend event in Texas. It's going to be a huge success. Everything is huge in Texas, right! Just wish I was going to be there. But I will be sharing the day with my oldest who turns 9 that very same day! Priorities are in the right order for me!

I have to finish up my papercraft project for the December Atlanta Training. er...well....do it! There is no finishing something you never started, right??!! I know what I am doing just need to DO IT!

Tomorrow is a yet another hectic day for me. Pick up cupcakes at the bakery in the AM. Get the boys to school. Order the pizzas for the party on Saturday. Unpack my stuff from the expo LAST weekend. UGH...Just threw it all in the closet with no order. Need to work on taxes for Chicago expo. Need to finish up the Indy expo expense sheet. Need to work on the house cleaning...to get ready for the party on Saturday morning. Go back to the school to take pictures of the birthday party. Pick up the kids from school. Get lunch and/or dinner at some point of the day. Heck, we can just eat cupcakes who needs real food?? They are chocolate afterall. What more could I ask for?

Head Cold

I have come down with a terrible head cold. And I am out of my meds for my foot and of course it is right back to killing me again. So I hate to say it but I think they were right. It was/is arthritis. I have a history of it in my family and my grandmother had severe RA at age 45 and was wheelchair bound in a matter of days. (but is now in remission) So I am sorta freaking out a little here. My mom has osteoarthritis which is less severe and not as bad as rheumatoid arthritis. So I guess this is a whine session today. Off to work...I will complain to my coworkers instead of here! LOL

My oldest turns 9 Saturday! So I need to get ready for that and deliver cupcakes to the school classroom friday afternoon. Plus I want to take some pictures while I am there. There is NO FREE time for me yet. I thought maybe I could clean my SB room and reorganize my house. But so far I have done thing but RUN since school started. So I am hoping next week will start my ME time.

1. Expo was good. Chatterbooks are HOT.
2. Huge Thank You to Shell from my family. Got our package to in the mail. Took pictures of the boys with their gifts. Watch for those later.
3. Foot is doing a little better. Taking arthritis meds for it.
4. School is going well. Boys are adjusting well. Mommy needs some more time...
5. Went to bed at 9pm last night for the first time in probably 3 years.
6. Our exchange student from Hamburg, Germany is here for a month. It was great to see her again.
7. Never was able to log into the site for KH to vote. Need to figure out what I need to do about it.
8. Passport arrived!! Ready for Cancun!

The good & the bad

First the good...We sold a ton of chatterbooks at the expo today. We are out of family & friends and very low on Adore. Still have numbers left. We ran out of 3 of the 6 monogram covers too.

The bad...no freakin wireless. Had to PAY to have internet in our room to process propay charges. GRRR....

Dropped enough product so far to make me smile. Now if we can do the same tomorrow, I will leave happy.

KH, I just noticed you have a kit up for judging. I tried to register to vote but still waiting for the email to confirm me. I hope I don't miss the window to vote. I want that kit too!

Heading to Indy

Leaving in the morning for the Expo in Indy, IN. Wish me luck. I want to drop as much inventory as I can. This will be my last expo for the year. I don't want to sit on this stuff all winter long. I have a couple of crops coming up so I can still unload some there, I hope.

First day a success

our school colors are Orange & Black. These are not Halloween layouts! LOL

It's here...

I am sitting alone in a dark room with nothing but my computer screen giving off light. The hum of the air conditioner and my fingers tapping on the keys are the only sounds coming from my house. The night before the first day of school is here.

I have dreaded this moment for years. And it's here. I fight back tears this very moment. I have tried to keep my mind on other things but now it wanders. How will they do? How will I do? It's a good thing I am working tomorrow, I guess. I would have come home and sat in the empty house and cried. My baby is now officially a school boy. He's not a infant, toddler, preschooler, but a school aged child. What happened? Where did those years go? A small part of me is breaking but I still have the greatest pride in both my boys. They have come so far in such a short amount of time. I have done the best I could. I just have to pray that God will take care of them and keep them strong while not in my care. Darn these tears...please go away. It's a good thing. I don't want to feel sad. But I am. I can't lie.

I have laid out the clothes & shoes (no repeats of last year wanted), lunch is pack for one, money in a baggie for the other one. Backpacks are filled with paperwork. Notes have been signed and directions for pick up at the end of the day are done. I guess all that is left is to go to sleep.

I got my layouts ready for tomorrow morning. Camera is ready to go. I just have to drop in the pictures. Class of 2017 & 2020, here come the Stiverson Boys! Ready or not.

Taking a brief break

Look where we are heading for the night. Trying to get in one last thing before school starts. Tomorrow is the school open house. Thursday work. Friday rest, saturday rest, Sunday wedding. Monday proof pictures & holiday. Tuesday School starts & working, Wednesday Pack for expo, Thursday Drive to Indy, Friday Expo, Saturday Expo, Sunday drive home.

I broke all my rules for attending expos. I never buy stuff. I am there to sell not buy. Well, I caved. But it was for purely business reasons. I found myself in a Bind and It was All over. Bev caved too...so we both are now in a bind. But think of the really cute things I can create with it.

We made it home safe. Expo was good. Did well considering the weather.

Holy crud...you are not going to believe this but as were setting up for the expo we had to take cover due to tornado sightings in the next county over. We lost power too. It was crazy. It is still storming.

Chicago

Heading out to Chicago area to do an expo with Scrapbook Girl Clothing & Accessories. I have not even started loading my van yet. I can't walk up & down the steps easily without anything in my arms. So loading myself is out of the question.

My foot/ankle

Here's a quick update. X-ray shows nothing. But they are thinking it's a torn ligament. I have to go Monday for a MRI. They wanted me to go Thursday or Friday but I am going to be in Chicago for the expo. So they told me to just wrap it and try to stay off it as much as possible. They have no clue what an expo entails. Stay off it?? HOW? It's been like this for nearly a year so a few more days can't possibly hurt me, can it?!

I got a peamail from someone on www.twopeasinabucket.com and was told that she used my Girls just wanna have fun layout. This is a first. I didn't think anyone like it since I never got one single comment on this layout. So I thought that was pretty cool. Just had to share my excitement!

Thanks CA_dreamer for the scraplift! I am usually the one doing the lifting! You should see my 'guns'! LOL I lift so much that they are bulging!

Got an email from Shell. She is having issues with emails. She can recieve but not send from her main account. Just thought I would post this here for those who know her. And if you don't know her, then you are missing out! Funny doesn't even touch her soul. Love ya, girl!! Don't work too hard on the house in New Zealand (which is not a part of Australia- wink wink)!

These are just a few of my favorite photos from my wedding I shot last weekend. It was a really fun reception. I ended up staying longer than I was scheduled for because I was having a nice time. I knew a ton of the people here too. So that was nice. Will post more later.

life stuff...boring for you but good for me!

Heading out to the doctors today. Think I have an inner ear problem, right foot/ankle is STILL a problem (so I am going to finally tell them after a year), and I am having issues sleeping and eating again. Which actually isn't soo bad cause I get a lot of stuff done and I wanted to lose weight anyways for Cancun, but not with the other issue that come along with those two problems for me.

So heading out here shortly. I was up until 2am working on my last wedding. I just loving playing with those photos and turning them into something else. So far, internet is holding out, still no laptop, and busy as ever.

Bev's son is getting married this weekend and I am shooting that wedding as well. I am really looking forward to this one. It means the world to me that she likes my work enough to have it for her own family event.

Shell, if you read this, that means your flight was completed safely and you are in NZ. I have been praying you are there safe. Let us know you made it please.

MIS HERE THEY COME!!! I am such a redneck girl. I just love NASCAR. And #24 is my all time favorite driver. Followed by #12.
I was shocked to hear that Jeff did NOT win today's race. I couldn't watch and had to listen when I could. I heard there were 5 laps left to go and he was winning and then got busy and didn't go back to hear the results. Imagine my surprise when I find out that Tony Frickin' Stewart (as I affectionately call him) Won. Huh?? But who still leads the way?!! Yes, that would be Jeff Gordon! Leader in points STILL! Can't wait for this weekends race!! I live 20 minutes from the track and have NEVER been to a race there yet!? I hate crowds more than I love watching!!

Oh whoa is me....

I am on DIAL UP until tuesday. My DSL is out and I am still down to one computer. I have been without internet for two days straight. So, I will be out of commission. This dial up is much slower than I ever remember. It took me 3 hours to get thru my 215 emails. UGH....It took me 15 minutes to get to the point where I could type this message. Who know how long it will take to post???

Laptop skin

I have no clue of the dimensions for one of these so I left cropping room. I wanted to have one done but will have to wait until I get my laptop back. I really liked the colors in this kit so I wanted to include this one. Plus it's the last download by KH so I had to honor this one.

Good bye Laptop

I have to send in my laptop for repair for a week so if you don't hear from me, it's because we are down to one computer with 3 people wanting to use it.

Now you might be wondering why I have to send it in for repair. Zander decided it was cool to throw matchbox cars against the couch back and what them bounce off it. Well, my laptop was sitting on the coffee table in front of the couch. Metal cars traveling at a high rate of speed don't stand a chance against a computer screen. CRACK....I never would have guessed that a computer screen would spiderweb like a windshield does. YEP....they do!

So fair well trusty laptop. May you come back shiny and crack less. And God help them if they mess with my HD. They asked if I wanted my hard drive wiped clean. UH....NO....my life is on there thank you very much. So I am going to spend the rest of today downloading to my EHD.

Oh Zander, if you ever decide to try understand velocity again, could you please move Mommy's computer of the way first, son.

Thank goodness for extended warranties.

Saturday Storyline

Well, we set up a spur of the moment garage sale today as our town was doing city wide sales. We decided that we would do this yesterday. So we just started going thru the garage and finding stuff the kids no longer used or needed. Pulled some of the baby-4T clothes out and made a sign that said .25 all kids clothes. And we have sold nearly $120 worth and we are down to about 3 tables of stuff from the 6 we started with!!! YIPPEE. It's not about the money, it's about the space. We have sooo much stuff that we just don't really need.

And I found out that I took 2nd place in the photo contest with my flowers. The white lily won! I got a red ribbon for winning. My first ever! Cool!

EDIT: We ended up selling $140 today and went from about a dozen boxes down to 2 bags of kids clothes. Very pleased the results. Now if I could do that with my scrapbook stuff! I have way too much paper since I am going digital.
