My voice it sorta back. Still can tell I have had issues but it's more than a whisper!

No voice

Woke up with NO VOICE. I've been under the weather but nothing too major. Just a cold like feeling...coughing, sinus pressure, tired. Now this. Should be fun at work. I called my boss to tell him I have no voice and see if he wants me there. He says, It's my call? Well, I know what that means...be there. So I'm going to go in. Should be interesting. A hygienist with no voice. I guess I can use my hands to show brush/floss! LOL hahaha Still got the dry sense of humor.

I stepped out my back door tonight to watch the boys play in the yard and I turned and looked and saw this.
This doesn't even really do justice to the color either. It was truly breath taking. The oranges and reds were so bright. It was a gorgeous day here today and yesterday. Tomorrow brings in rain and cold. Figures. All this color will be gone so fast if it rains. So I had to get this memory locked in print. I have NO PLANS for the weekend for the first time in 6 weeks. I am going to clean my house! It's terrible. Needs a good over haul. 6 weeks of neglect has taken it's toll on me. I'm still fighting something in my head/nose/throat. It's not horrible but man...it's not fun either. Tomorrow is thursday..blah... I hate thursdays. Long day at work. But...Will has a music concert at 6:30pm so I have leaving work an hour earlier so I can make it there on time. He's so excited. Zander has to pass out the programs. He's taking choir this year and was asked by the music teacher to help out. He's loving it! I've got the best kids!

Skinny Jeans Challenge

So, I signed up for the Skinny Jeans Challenge over at SweetShoppeDesigns. Ironic, no? Sweet Shoppe and weight loss contest! Anywho...There's some prizes to be won so I figure, why not.

And a few of you are probably smiling or even laughing to yourself. You know my little secret and you know I can win this! If I'm doing it already, I might as well get paid to do it! (yes, I'm that cocky that I will win) heehee Who wouldn't love to win some digi supplies. I know I would! Secretly, I bet it will be all Krystal Hartley stuff! heehee just my luck! MWAHAHAHA well guess that's not a secret anymore. Me and my big mouth.

This one's for the Girls- Krystal Hartley collab

This one is a tear jerker for me. It was, and still is, a very emotional time for us. But as many of you know, our way to get through life is to laugh. Even in the worst times, we will find a way to laugh about it. So this was our attempt at making light of a terrible, rotten event. I adore my MIL more than most will ever know. We do a LOT together since my own mother is not near me anymore. She has sorta filled in the void left my mom having to move away. I still talk to my own mom a lot but there just something about jumping in the car and going shopping or going for a walk or just hanging out. I don't know what I would have done if the outcome hadn't been so good for us in the end. We are NOT at the end of this journey yet but we are smiling and enjoying life along the way. She's getting better all the time and she's here! What more could we ask for? So this one for my Mother-in-law whom I simply call, Mom! She's the best and I love her as much as my own mom.

Here's another layout for the Murder Mystery photobook. Pretty much every layout I will do now will be for that! I have a mission to get it done before halloween. We shall see! LOL

Ready for a break

Whew...I'm so busy getting ready for Fall Festival. I have done a couple of pages for my CT's but I really haven't had time to scrap like I had been. And quite frankly, I think needed the break. I'm feeling ready for it. So much so that I am actually going to a crop on Saturday when I should be working on Fall Festival stuff. But my main goal is to get it DONE today and then I can Play tomorrow. Well whether it's done or not, I'm going scrapping on Saturday. I want to work on the Murder Mystery photobook. I need some ME time.

Family is arriving!

Josh's family is slowing trickling in!! I'm so loving this! We will only be missing ONE of the 8 kids that are left. Josh's mom's side of the family is HUGE! They are all coming home for the big Murder Mystery Play/Fundraiser for the Library. Josh's mom is the director and most of the cast is family too. Looking forward to this one. Let's see...without "spilling the beans" too much, I will share this, Josh is a Mummy, I'm a witch (hardy har har), Zander is Mortimer the Mortician. And Will is not involved due to his age. Maybe next year. Zander will also have an appearance as Micheal Jackson. Oh yes, this is going to be FREAKING AWESOME!
My name in the play is Flo Tomontage. I'm the photographer for the play. I will be doing candids with a photo board, and general pics. My cape is to die for! I love it! I will be sure to post photos. Off to finish my witch hat!

wednesday--ahhh

The week is half over and that means we are getting closer to the wonderful weekend. This weekend is the play! I'm so excited for this. My MIL has put a TON of time into this and I am excited to see all her hard work pay off. Then it's on to two more major events at the school and I can coast for awhile!! I'm ready to have my life back that is for sure! I feel like I have been working for everyone else's gain lately and I am ready to put me first!

I'm Alive!

I survived camping this weekend! LOL
Just very tired. Just not the same as your own bed. And Rain on tin can doesn't help! heehee

Survived night one

To all my friends and family out there... I survived night one of camping! LOL It's about 70 inside. So I'm fine! Going shopping today. Hoping to find some fun socks for my costume next weekend. Found 3 clear pieces for my sister yesterday and really funky green beaded necklace at goodwill. Now I just need to find a really cool pin for my cape.

Dead tired

It's 8:20pm and I am heading to bed?! Am I getting sick? I have no clue but I can NOT keep my eyes open. I'm calling it a night. I think all this running around is catching up to me.
Whew...If you knew what my last two days have held you'd be tired too. So no playing catch up with my CT tonight. Just 18 more days and the craziness will be over with. (I HOPE!)

Furnace is ON

Darn it...Added this little note so I can remember next year how early I had to turn on the furnace. It's only 44 degrees outside right now at 10am? HUH? I know, I live in Michigan, but come on...

Remember the seeds we planted earlier in the year...this is what they produced. ONE TINY little watermelon. Seriously?! LOL We have no clue if it will get any bigger or if we should just pick it since we have not grown them before. Will was really excited about it though and that's all that matters!

Walk to school day

It's walk to school day. Which means the "bus" kids get to walk from the HS to the Elementary. Which basically means wet feet! LOL There is always so much dew on the grass. I might make my group walk AROUND the school on the pavement this year. It's longer but hey we are doing it for exercise right so why not walk around! LOL

Still bothered by the lack of parental involvement lately at our school. I mean, in this economy, with people laid off they have nothing BUT TIME, am I wrong? Grrr...Some people's children. I refuse to let it get to me. I'm going to let it go. I just had to get it off my chest. But for those of you with school aged children. Stop and think about how much time you invest in helping out. Could you do any more? Probably. So why not offer to help out for ONE EVENT PER YEAR. It's an hour out of your life or less. You are not committing to a life sentence people. There...now if I only had the guts to send this to 200 people directly! LOL hahahahaha

Biggest Loser

For goodness sake...why do I BAWL every time I watch this show? God I so feel their pain. That's probably why I feel so emotional when I watch this show. I'm feeling some motivation biting me.

Do I have to remind certain people of that all the time!? You get out of life what you put into it. I'm giving all I have and yet I still have to pick up the slack for others. Geez...get with the program parents!

one of those days

yep it was...

but the best part was coming home from work to see a shutterfly box laying on the table! Ahhh...my Cali photobook is here! I looked at it really fast and started to get teary eyed so I put it down. I had the best time out there and I am so sad to think that I can't just get in the car and drive to see Shell whenever I want. I'm so lucky to have Bev so close to me. And I'm even more lucky to have the BEST FRIENDS a girl could ask for. TRULY. ok...tears are coming again. Just know this....I LOVE YOU SHELL! You are so fun and I adore you.

And BEV...we need to meet up so I can bring you your book!! And a huge hug!
We really need to plan on a reunion in the spring. I'll start saving my pennys right now!

Ikea bound

Heading to the big blue and yellow store with my sister today! WAHOOO!!! We have decided its time for Will's bedroom make over. I think old fashion Winnie the Pooh and friends has lived it's course. He's now 7 and ready for something new. So we are doing Blue, Orange, and Lime.

His favorite color is ORANGE (go figure) so that was easy enough! Here's what I think we are going to pull our colors from. Some bowls at Ikea. Just love these colors and they are so WILL!

First Day!

We made it! They are in school and hopefully having a ball. If the morning was any indication as to how the whole day will be they will be just fine. I am happy to report that I did NOT cry this year! yet! Whew...could it be?! LOL Cousin Wendy would be so proud of me! I Premade some layouts over the weekend so I had to do was drop in my photos today! Loving being prepared!

Two toothless children

Daddy pulled Zander's first. His first "molar" and it has a silver "star" in it. Will see's that his older brother did just fine with his Daddy helping the tooth out so he says, Do mine next. His was more loose than Z's. So with one tiny tug it was out. So I have TWO children going to the first day of School with one less tooth. What a fine day! Ah...tomorrow will come all too soon and I'm more nervous than the boys. They are both very excited and ready to go back to school. Wish I could say the same. I'm gonna miss my boys. How will I ever survive them going off to college? AHhhhh Can't go there. Just going to enjoy what we have NOW!

Ritz Toasted Chips

Curse you Nabsico, Kraft, Ritz, whomever makes these evil evil chips/crackers. And as long as I am swearing, I am going to add my Stupid Sister, Amy Jo, to the mix. It's all HER FAULT. She let me try these at her house a few weeks ago when I went up to spend the night. I HATE HER FOR IT. They consume my every food thought. From sun up to sun down. And even in my dreams. I think about these stupid things. Do NOT try them. You will HATE THEM. They are evil. (saying this only so you won't buy them and I can!)In the course of two days or just over 36 hours...I manage to eat (not fully alone in that act-Thanks Zander & Will) the whole stinking bag. UGH...Now I'm out. hmmm...I wonder how long it would take for me to run to WalMart and back at 10:22pm?? So for now, I will just lick my computer screen while looking at this

Cat issues

We have two cats that apparently have lost their minds. They have started peeing on the carpet. So yeah...they just cut their own lives short. Literally. I love my pets but I have to draw the line at that. I put way too much time and money into my house to have it smell like a pisshole. Won't do it. So if anyone has any ideas how to stop this...please share. Otherwise, we will be down two pets at the Stiverson house. I mean it. The kids are so angry with us right now over this but they have no clue what we have done to get our house to this level. HELP!

So I refused to let myself explore facebook and all it has to offer as I just don't have TIME. well, yesterday, was thee day. I did it. I clicked on some link for FARKLE. Dang it. WHY????? Yes I am screaming that why! Myself and the boys played that for hours on end yesterday. Grr....I hate when I do stuff like that. Now I feel compelled to go there again but I refuse...for now. I'm weak, let's face it. But first, I must work on Parent Group stuff. That's WAY more important. See how I try to convience myself...will it work?? Only time will tell. I'll let you know!

OMG!! Jeff Gordon!

To say that I have ONE HAPPY BOY is probably not enough. This is the very first time I have not had to say...Zander, Smile! I don't think his grin could have

gotten any bigger. Seriously! Look at him!! And we had to call Aunt Barb and Aunt Amy Jo to tell them that we standing at start/finish line in front of the "stage" waiting for the driver presentations. We got a special stamp/sticker from our friend that allowed us access to this event. I think Zander was in heaven. He wrote his name on the start/finish line and got down and kissed it! Yes, I have pictures!! Words are just not enough to explain what a great day we had. I didn't think it could get any better than last time but it did! What a great great great day! I sure hope he knows how lucky he is! Pretty sure he's aware!

Photobook is DONE!!!

I did a photobook for my Aunts recent roadtrip. I worked on it at the retreat last weekend and got 32 pages done there. Then I worked all day yesterday on it and got it done!!! I LOVE IT! I've very very happy with how it turned out. Doing it 12x12 since I put so many pictures on it. I was afraid they'd be too small if we did 8x8. Thank you's go out to Kristin Aagard, Krystal Hartley, Peta Boardman, Designs by Sine, Simply Yin, and Lyndsey Riches for your awesome products that I used to create this book.

Sleep

ok...I'm so messed up on my sleep schedule! LOL I did manage to catch up this morning. Slept in until 10:30am Yes folks...that's right. I think I might have made it back to my normal amount required to keep me going! Finally! I feel asleep at work yesterday!! No Joke. Just for a split second and hit my head on the counter. I was sitting down with my head on my hand/arm and out I went! LOL

I am up to page 38 with the vacation book for Aunt Barb. I hope she loves it. I am finally at the half way point so that's good!! I feel like I'm running out of creativity and they are all looking the same.
I finally talked to my mom yesterday and she said she throughly enjoyed the adventures of Flat Shelley! LOL Glad to know that it made others happy. I thought maybe it was only my warped sense of humor that found it side splitting funny! I said at one point...if this is still funny in the morning then I will post it. And it was! LOL Still is! hahaha This just might have to become a standard event for me! Taking different people with me to fun locations. Who's next??
